Operating across key areas of Bristol city centre, the Night Rangers will provide a highly visible presence during peak evening and late-night hours. Working closely with Bristol BID, Avon & Somerset Police, emergency services, local businesses, and community safety partners, the service aims to strengthen communication, improve incident response, and help create a safer city centre environment.

The Night Ranger team will play a vital role in supporting nationally recognised safety initiatives, including Operation Vigilant, helping to identify and safeguard vulnerable individuals while addressing behaviours associated with violence against women and girls.

Through early intervention, conflict management, intelligence gathering, and information sharing, the Rangers will contribute to reducing anti-social behaviour, serious violence, and other issues impacting the night-time economy.
