What began as a relatively quiet January soon developed into the biggest and busiest year in our history, firmly positioning CR2 Security Group as a trusted and capable security partner across the region and beyond.
This year has been one of momentum. Momentum built through hard work, careful planning, and the collective effort of a team that continues to raise the bar. From expanding our workforce and infrastructure, to securing prestigious contracts and delivering high-quality training, the past twelve months have been a defining chapter in our journey.
January started calmly. As is often the case in our industry, the early weeks of the year allowed us time to reflect, plan, and refine our approach. While activity levels were steady, it was clear that the foundations were being laid for something much bigger.
As the months progressed, demand increased rapidly. New clients came on board, existing contracts expanded, and our operational tempo accelerated. By mid-year, it was evident that this was shaping up to be the busiest and most successful year CR2 Security Group has ever experienced.
Our ability to scale quickly while maintaining quality and compliance has been one of the standout achievements of the year and it didn’t happen by chance – it was the result of investing in people, processes, and infrastructure long before the inevitable pressure arrived.
One of the most significant milestones this year has been the fact that we have managed to double the size of our workforce and then some. Our people are the backbone of everything we do, and expanding the team has allowed us to take on larger, more complex contracts while continuing to deliver the high standards we are known for and our clients expect.
From frontline SIA security operatives to supervisors, managers, and support staff, we have focused on recruiting individuals who share our values and have pride in their profession. Growth for the sake of growth has never been the goal – sustainable growth, built on the principle of right people, right places, has.
Alongside this expansion, we have strengthened our senior leadership structure and head office team. This has increased strategic capacity, improved operational oversight, and ensured that CR2 Security Group is well-positioned for continued expansion in the years ahead.
This year saw CR2 Security Group secure a number of high-profile and prestigious contracts, reflecting the trust placed in us by high profile organisations across a range of different sectors.
We were proud to secure work with new clients including Boomtown, Wiltshire Throwback Festival, Bath College, Bath Spa University and Host Students to name a few.
Each of these organisations presents unique challenges and responsibilities and being trusted to deliver security solutions within such varied settings is a testament to our adaptability, professionalism, and operational capability.
At the Wiltshire Throwback Festival, CR2 Security Group took the lead on all aspects of security and crowd management. From planning and risk assessment to live operational delivery, our team played a central role in ensuring the event was safe, secure, and well-managed.
The scale of this responsibility cannot be overstated. Large public events require smooth coordination, effective communication, and decisive leadership. Our team delivered on all fronts.
One of the most rewarding outcomes of this deployment was receiving a formal recommendation from Wiltshire Police, recognising our role in managing a safe and secure event. External validation of this nature is incredibly important to us, and it reinforces our commitment to best practice, partnership working, and public safety.
Another major highlight of the year has been the exceptional growth of our mobile security services, which rose by over 200%!
We now provide mobile security services to over 70 customer sites across the region, supporting a wide range of sites including commercial premises, educational facilities, construction projects, and vacant properties. This growth reflects increasing demand for flexible, responsive, and cost-effective security solutions – and our ability to deliver them reliably.
Our mobile security teams have become a vital part of our service offering, providing rapid response, visible deterrence, and peace of mind to our clients. The expansion of this service has also created new opportunities for our staff and strengthened our operational footprint across the region.
Training has always been a core pillar of CR2 Security Group, and this year we have continued to invest heavily in developing both new and existing talent within the industry.
Over the past twelve months, we have delivered numerous SIA-linked security courses, training hundreds of individuals either to enter the security industry for the first time or to renew their SIA licences. These courses play a crucial role in raising standards across the sector and ensuring that licensed professionals are competent, confident, and compliant.

As the business has grown, so too has the need for stronger infrastructure. In October this year, we made a significant investment in upgrading our headquarters, which has enabled a fresh, modern space that better supports our expanding head office team.
Our new HQ provides an improved environment for collaboration, training, planning, and administration. It represents more than just a physical upgrade – it symbolises the maturity of the business and our commitment to providing a professional, supportive workplace for our people.
This investment has already paid dividends in efficiency, morale, and our ability to host training and meetings in a space that reflects who we are as an organisation.
Quality and compliance remain central to everything we do at CR2 Security Group. This year, we successfully retained our ISO 9001, Safe Contractor and our SIA Approved Contractor Scheme (ACS) Accreditations.
Even more encouragingly, we achieved an additional 20 points in our ACS score, demonstrating tangible improvement in governance, operational delivery, and continuous improvement. These accreditations are not just badges – they are frameworks that help us maintain consistency, accountability, and excellence across the business.
In an increasingly competitive market, maintaining and improving these standards is critical, and we are proud of the work that has gone into achieving these results and next year we aim to improve significantly yet again, ensuring we lead the way and remain Wiltshire's trusted security services provider.
Alongside operational expansion, this year has delivered strong revenue growth, reflecting increased demand, larger contracts, and more diversified services. With this financial growth has come greater business maturity – improved systems, clearer processes, and more robust planning.
We have focused on building a company that is not only successful today, but sustainable for the long term. That means making strategic decisions, investing wisely, and ensuring that growth never compromises quality.
While it is important to celebrate milestones, contracts, and figures, none of this would be possible without the team we have built –and continue to build.
From frontline officers working long hours in challenging environments, to our trainers shaping the future of the industry, to managers, office staff and directors guiding the business forward – every individual plays a significant role in our success.
