CR2 Security Group Proud to Support Bristol Safe Space at Night

CR2 Security Group is proud to support Bristol Safe Space at Night, helping create a safer and more supportive night-time economy in Bristol.

Bristol has one of the South West’s busiest and most vibrant night-time economies, with thousands of people heading into the city every weekend to enjoy its bars, restaurants, clubs, theatres, events and live entertainment.

But a safe night out is about more than security and policing.

It is also about making sure there is somewhere people can turn when something goes wrong.

That is why CR2 Security Group is proud to be involved with Bristol Safe Space at Night, a new initiative designed to provide practical support to people enjoying Bristol after dark.

Supporting Bristol's Night-Time Economy

Based at Central Promenade, opposite Bristol Hippodrome, Bristol Safe Space at Night operates every Friday and Saturday from 10pm until 4am.

The initiative provides a safe and welcoming place for people who may need support during their night out.

That could be someone who has become separated from their friends, a person whose phone has run out of battery, someone feeling unwell, or simply someone who needs somewhere safe to sit, recover and work out how they are getting home.

Support available includes:

  • First aid and welfare support
  • Phone charging
  • Welfare essentials
  • A safe place to sit and regroup
  • Support for people separated from friends
  • Assistance for people waiting for a taxi or making their way home

It is a straightforward concept, but it provides an important additional layer of support within Bristol's night-time economy.

CR2 Security Group: Supporting Safer Nights in Bristol

As a professional security company operating across Bristol and the wider South West, CR2 Security Group understands the importance of having the right people in the right places.

Our work in Bristol includes supporting the city's night-time economy, providing trained security personnel and working alongside local partners to help maintain safe and welcoming environments.

However, effective security is not simply about reacting to incidents.

Good security is proactive.

It is about visibility, communication, early intervention and having people on the ground who can recognise when somebody needs help.

That approach is particularly important within a busy night-time economy, where thousands of people can be moving through the city centre at the same time.

Working With Bristol's Key Stakeholders

Bristol Safe Space at Night is a great example of what can be achieved when organisations work together.

CR2 is proud to support the initiative alongside Bristol BID, Bristol City Council, Avon and Somerset Police, Bristol Ambulance and other key stakeholders involved in improving safety and supporting Bristol's night-time economy.

Creating safer public spaces is a shared responsibility.

Security companies, businesses, police, local authorities, community organisations and members of the public all have a role to play.

By working together, it becomes possible to identify problems earlier, provide support before situations escalate and help people get home safely.

People First

At CR2 Security Group, People First is more than a phrase.

Whether we are providing event security in Bristol, supporting a busy night-time economy or delivering security services for local businesses, our teams are expected to be professional, approachable and ready to help.

Bristol Safe Space reflects that same principle.

There is no judgement and no unnecessary drama.

Sometimes somebody simply needs a safe place to sit down.

Sometimes they need to charge their phone.

Sometimes they need first aid.

And sometimes they just need somebody to point them in the right direction.

Being there at the right time can make a real difference.

More Than Security

We believe the role of a modern security company extends beyond simply protecting buildings, assets and events.

Security professionals are often the first people members of the public approach when they need assistance.

That makes training, professionalism, communication and the right attitude just as important as physical security.

Our involvement with Bristol Safe Space at Night is another example of CR2 supporting the communities in which we operate and working with local stakeholders to make a positive difference.

Building a Safer Bristol

The Bristol Safe Space initiative is only getting started.

Plans are already underway to welcome volunteers and develop a dedicated Safe Space container later in the year, providing even greater support to people using Bristol's night-time economy.

CR2 Security Group is proud to play its part.

We believe safer nights are created through partnership, prevention and people.

From security and crowd management at major events to supporting Bristol's night-time economy, CR2 continues to provide professional, people-focused security across Bristol and the wider South West.

Right People. Right Places.
